This original abstract acrylic painting on canvas was inspired by one of the Cape Cod’s harbor after a summer storm. Number of boats was tied up in the harbor solemnly waiting. Once the storm hit the waterfront, the boats were powerless and surrounded to their fate.  I created this painting as a reaction to this experience. The composition is charged with saturated pulsation and the colors reflect the rapid movements of the storm.

The artwork is an abstract painting dominated by dynamic swirling forms and vibrant colors. A large spiral shape in the center, rendered with bold strokes of white and black, twists inward towards a deep blue and green core. Surrounding this central spiral are bursts of red, yellow, and orange, creating a striking contrast with the blues in the background. The composition is energetic, with contrasting textures and layers of paint that give a sense of movement and intensity. Vertical white and black linear marks intersect parts of the spiral, adding structure and rhythm to the chaotic flow of colors and shapes. The overall effect is one of turbulence and vivid energy, capturing an emotional and dramatic atmosphere.
